Carstens Farms is a multi-generational, family-owned seedstock operation that uses nationally recognized sires to produce genetically proven performance Angus and Charolais cattle. Located in the rolling hills of southwestern Iowa near Adair, we are committed to producing profitable cattle and progressive genetics in a commercially oriented environment.
Our roots go back six decades to when Dean Carstens started an Angus herd as a teen, using proven cows from leading breeders. After college, Dean returned to the family farm to carry on the tradition of raising livestock and farming the land where he grew up.
Today, Carstens Farms continues to use nationally recognized sires to produce genetically proven performance cattle. Aside from our faith and our family, one of our constants through the years has been our desire to provide our customers with the best product available for their continued success. We value the friendships and relationships we have with our customers and believe they are the best part of our business.

Come join our family annually on the second Saturday in February for our production sale. Drop by for a sandwich and to talk cattle! We also sell bull semen year-round.
